The Beginning

I am a self-taught artist who has never intentionally learned artistic techniques or skills, nor attended any art classes. My art does not strive for technical perfection, but rather for heartfelt expression and fulfilment.

My artistic journey began three years ago , in 2023, when my son asked me to help him with a school art project. While drawing with him, I discovered a part of myself that I never knew existed. Even a simple drawing made me feel uplifted and alive. Since then, I have never stopped creating.

With every new project, my inner artist continues to grow and develop. I enjoy experimenting with different media, materials, and styles, allowing each piece to guide me somewhere new.

Media and Style

In the beginning, I worked mainly with acrylic paints, creating portraits for family and friends. Later, I discovered oil painting, which felt more natural to me, especially for portraiture.

Today, my style combines oil painting with acrylic impasto, gold and silver acrylic accents, and different types of foil, including gold and silver. I feel that this combination gives me the best opportunity to express my artistic inspirations and create works that have both depth and texture.

Themes and Inspirations

At the heart of my art are spirituality, humanity, and nature. These themes come to life through my intuition rather than being inspired by events or trends in the outside world.

I have always been a spiritually minded person with a deep connection to nature. At the same time, I have a strong interest in human psychology and social dynamics. These passions are reflected in my work through portraits intertwined with nature, revealing emotional, psychological, and spiritual qualities. Yet there is always something more beneath the surface—something left for the viewer to discover and interpret for themselves.

My Paintings

My paintings are born from intuition, which is why I often describe them as intuitive. I do not follow conventional methods such as sketching, painting in layers, or creating the background first.

Instead, I begin directly on a blank canvas—most often my favourite size, 20 x 20 inches—using fast-drying oil paints and allowing the painting to develop naturally throughout the process.

For me, a painting is finished not when it reaches technical perfection, but when I can feel its completeness. It is a feeling of wholeness that tells me the work is done.

This is also why I create only unique artworks and never return to alter finished pieces. I believe that each painting has its own life, character, and qualities, and I prefer to let it remain exactly as it emerged.
